Join artists Elise Mark, Marcelle McGuirk, and Abby LaVecchia—alongside Philadelphia-based pregnancy and postpartum care providers—to celebrate the incredible journey of pregnancy, childbirth, and community care through song and shared presence.
This is a donation-based event — all are welcome.

About the Performers
Abigail LaVecchia, Pianist
Abigail LaVecchia is a pianist based in Philadelphia. She is on the faculty of the classical voice and choir departments at the Boyer College of Music at Temple University. Abigail is music director at Morrisville United Methodist Church, where she is organist and director of the chancel and bell choirs. She is a piano teacher at Friends Select School. Abigail holds a Master of Music in Collaborative Piano and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Temple University where she was a student of Charles Abramovic and Lambert Orkis. She lives in South Philadelphia with her husband Patrick, daughter Socorro, and dog Wolfgang.
Elise Mark, Soprano
Elise Mark is a musician, teaching artist, arts organizer, and creative facilitator passionate about building community through creativity. As the founder of Creative Becoming and leader of the Chill Choir, Elise creates welcoming spaces for artistic exploration and connection. She’s excited to share this project as a new mom, and to include motherhood as a natural and evolving part of her creative and facilitation practice.
Marcelle McGuirk, Soprano
Praised for her “clear, beautiful soprano,"(Aisle Seat) Marcelle McGuirk (she/ella) brings her musical interpretations to the opera, concert, and recital stages. Her repertoire spans many eras, though she has a special love of 20th-21st century music. Notable credits include: Della (The Gift of the Magi), Snow Maiden (The Snow Maiden), Musetta (La Boheme), and several roles in the two woman contemporary opera, Between: The Elevator. Solo concert credits include: Mozart’s Requiem, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Handel’s Messiah, and Orff's Carmina Burana. Additionally, she is a co-founder of Prismatic Arts Ensemble, a chamber ensemble that creates immersive stagings of song literature.
