East Kensington, Fishtown, Old Richmond are lucky to have one of the best Tree planting - tending - pruning - advocating organizations in the nation: the Philly Tree People.
Founded by tireless volunteers Jacelyn Blank, Nykia Perez and Dina RIchman, PTP has planted almost 3000 trees in the area over the last decade of work.
PTP serves as a local tree tenders group in connection with the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. For information about tree programs offered through PHS - visit here

Plantings are twice a year, and applications have to be received well in advance for each planting so get your application in! and please donate to Philly Tree People !! Let’s reward their steady effort to restore the tree canopy in our world here, that was destroyed over a century ago.

Tree Authority, led by Hasan Malik and his amazing team are deeply devoted to restoring ecology through tree planting, invasive tree removal, and heavy tree and stump removal to make way for new trees. Tree Authority also has an immense nursery of trees, many native to the Northeastern United States.
