Monthly Open Mics are hosted by Creative Becoming, a community for the creatively intrigued. Open Mics take place on the first Friday of each month, and are open to any and all. Whether you want to perform or just listen, these are special events we have at the Perch each month that you’ll be glad you came out for.

Doors open at 7pm. Performances start at 7:30pm. Performers sign up at the door and receive 10-15 minutes of stage time. Late comers welcome, though not guaranteed to perform. All attendees need a PWYC ticket for entry, either in advance or at the door.

March Madness Musical Trivia Night is a game-centric music class that’s part of Elise’s Creative Music Lessons Program for Young Musicians ages 5-11. The Perch hosts the always engaging BROOKE SCHOOLEY for her first solo show, ‘Who Knows Where or When,’ where Brooke shares songs and poignant stories about losing one’s bearings, inspired by having organized her parents’ care over the past decade.

All ticket proceeds will benefit Boomers 'R Heroes, a Philadelphia based non-profit providing caregiver support services, including group meetings, information resources, coaching, personalized emotional and administrative support, and respite care funding.

Join soprano Chantal Freeman and her guest pianist for an evening of French music that will transport you to the cozy French bistro of your dreams. Chantal will sing songs of some of her favorite French composers in an evening that will hopefully leave you feeling warmth, some comfort and even just a bit of hope. Ticket link here.

Project Sunshine

An episodic, iterative, immersive theatre experience, Project Sunshine brings audience participants into the Shambhala community, a contemporary Buddhist lineage dedicated to creating enlightened society. Over the course of five fictionalized classes and community events, participants will be immersed into the magic of this community…as well as its complications. Audience participants will have the option of joining as themselves or LARP-ing (Live Action Role-Playing) as a character they’re sent in advance, and will become active co-authors of the story as it unravels. Spots for this experience are limited, and selected based on submission. Those interested in participating can choose from three tiers of engagement:

Tier 1) attend only Episode 3 for $15

Tier 2) attend three episodes of your choosing for $30

Tier 3) attend all five episodes for $50

Friendsgiving Music Party for Families is a time to come together to enjoy live tunes, delicious food, and create unforgettable memories with music loving families in our neighborhood of East Kensington/Fishtown!

• When: Sunday, November 19th, 12-2pm

• Who? Kids and Families — especially Music Lovers!

• What? A party for music lovers! Sharing music, snacks, and gratitude! Students are welcome to share a song if they play an instrument!

Students and families will find a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere to connect with neighbors. This is a special opportunity to learn and be inspired by sharing in a supportive group setting.
