Drum Major Instinct with Katherine Young, Glasspack & Negar Soley
Drum Major Instinct is an experimental music duo from Asheville, North Carolina. Jeff Arnal plays (mostly) percussion and Curt Cloninger plays (mostly) modular synthesizer. The Wire describes Jeff’s drumming as a “highly original concept” having “a balletic sense of time and imaginative deployment of colour;” and Byron Coley says Curt’s modular synthesis “moves like blocks of radioactive adobe being shifted around by architects in space suits.” But, of course, nothing is ever that straightforward. The resultant music is about waves of energy, patterns within patterns (within patterns), sounds from the natural world, and running the voodoo down. Their self-titled first release is on Mahakala Music (2022) and their latest 2025 LP (entitled "Almost Nothing") is on Haunted Apparatus.
Songs to Break & Mend Your Heart
Our second-annual, intimate post-Valentine’s day concert to soothe your heartbreak. For fans of: Joni Mitchell, Regina Spektor, Tori Amos, Brandi Carlise, Taylor Swift and Sarah Bareilles.
Drunk in love? Heartbreak hangover? Longing to feel something in the depths of a Philadelphia winter? We’ve got just the remedy! Come join therapists by day/singer songwriters by night Rachel Eve and Sarah Alexandra for a bespoke evening of original music centered on all things heartbreak and healing.
Located in the heart of the vibrant East Kensington/Fishtown neighborhood, the Perch Music and Arts Center is a warm and cozy space that offers the perfect backdrop for an evening of being serenaded.

Valentines and Vamps: A Cabaret Concert With Live Vocals and Burlesque
Get ready for a night of sultry vocals and captivating performances at Valentines and Vamps - a cabaret concert you won't want to miss!
Fall under the spell of Valentines & Vamps at The Perch in Fishtown on February 14, 2026—a sultry Valentine’s night where romance meets delicious darkness. This intimate, cabaret-style evening blends live vocals with live piano accompaniment, vintage glamour, and tantalizing tease, creating a gothic-romantic atmosphere for lovers, loners, and creatures of the night alike.
Siren songstress Lotte Von Bismarck (@lottevonbismarck) sets the mood with lush, evocative vocals, accompanied on piano by Matt DiMarino. The evening also features professional burlesque performers Ashantidoll (@ashantidoll), Raven Nightingale (@ravinnightingale.burlesque), and Rosa Darling (@missrosadarling), delivering a decadent mix of seduction, drama, and playful danger. Expect glittering costumes, smoldering performances, and a Valentine’s vibe that flirts with the forbidden. Doors open at 7:30 with the show starting at 8:30. It will run approximately 1.5 hours.
The Perch is a seated, intimate performance space with limited capacity, so be sure to purchase tickets in advance—and don’t forget cash to tip the performers!
